I’m a constant radio station surfer when driving alone.   It would make most people crazy (which is why I only do it alone).  I’ll scan stations at a super fast speed until I hear a tune I like.  I recently wound up listening to a portion of “Sorry for Party Rocking” from LMFAO.  And I say a portion because scanning stations like I do means catching songs mid way through.  Obviously if you don’t stay on a station long enough, you won’t hear a full song.

(Be sure to check out the very bottom of this post…..those with small children and LMFAO fans may find this entertaining)

So although my radio scanning has no relevance to this post, it did remind me that I needed to talk about some fun party-like activities coming up next weekend.

I’ve gotta say, the people (whether you live, work, or own a business here) of our little-big town of Hutchinson work hard to provide events for everyone.  Really, if you sit down and think of everything that goes on here, there’s a ton of variety.

Once more, another fun event is planned for this Friday April 27th and Saturday April 28th and is sponsored by a local group of businesses (I’ll list them at the bottom of this post with links to their websites).

To get super deals at local businesses, you do need to register for the “Who Let the Girls Out Getaway” by visiting the Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau website.

Along with being a sponsor, Vintage Glam (located in the Hutchinson Mall) is celebrating the 1 Year Anniversary of the store.  Eryn who owns this awesome shop, has fun stuff planned for the day and I am so honored to be a part of her celebration!  I will be there from 11am-3pm manning (or would that be womanning??) the photo booth.  What a fun way to remember the day with your friends!  We’ll then post the photos to Rain Avenue Photography’s Facebook & Vintage Glam’s Facebook pages.

Why hello!  I realize it’s been a while since I’ve written.  As usual, time seems to slip by, almost quicker than I can eat my son’s Easter candy.  Someone has to do it – I’m simply looking out for his well-being so it’s my role as a mom to eat his candy.  Yep, I can justify it.

So aside from my near candy-coma, I’ve been busy with the usual stuff.  And with the usual stuff comes some pictures, which we all love!  And I really love when clients give the O.K. to share images from their session.  That way, the rest of you can see their beauty!  Here’s just one image from a recent session.  I consider this style more beauty related, since it’s more about the face than lingerie.  Which by the way, for part of her session, she used a nicely pressed white dress shirt, fun colorful bra and jeans.  So it just goes to show that you don’t have to have lingerie to do a shoot.  She’s got a beautiful image here highlighting her — her beauty and not necessarily what she’s wearing.  Gorgeous eyes, beautiful hair color, flawless skin.  That is what is timeless.  It’s not always about the clothes.  ;)

I’m busy editing away at this beauty’s session but just had to post a couple from her session (with her permission, of course!).     Her awesome hair & makeup were provided by Make-up and Hair by Jenny. (Not to be confused with me, Jenny – the photographer, ha ha!)   Now tell me, isn’t she gorgeous?!

The session fee is $36.00 for the first subject with $10.00 for each additional subject(s). All session fees are 100% donated to the Shelter.
